Mission & Objective of the Games For Hope Foundation

The Games for Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds through various means and distribute them to different children's charities. In addition to its core mission, The Games for Hope Foundation aims to help promote awareness of the charities we work with within the community as well as encourage and support research in all areas leading to better treatment and prognosis of any children's illness. Our vision is to become an important player within the Canadian philanthropic community by raising money for the benefit of children's charities through fun and original events.

The more specific objectives of the Foundation can be summarized as follows:

1. Raise money through fundraising events such as:
   1. sports tournaments, including, but not limited to, volleyball, hockey and soccer
   2. dinner-dances
   3. raffle drawings
   4. other means as decided in any general meeting of the Board of Directors (BOD).
   The net proceeds of these fundraising activities shall be forwarded to the following children's charities:
   1. The Children's Wish Foundation
   2. The Montreal Children's Hospital / Ste. Justine's Hospital Foundation
   3. The Quebec Easter Seal Society
   4. The Missing Children's Network
   5. Other children's charities as passed by resolution by the Board of Directors at any BOD meeting;
2. Help promote awareness of the aforementioned children's charities within the community
3. Encourage and support research in all areas leading to better treatment and prognosis of any children's illnesses related to the children's charities outlined in section (a)
4. Act as liaison by helping to refer families with sick children to a charity that may help alleviate/improve the child's situation/illness
5. Help recruit volunteers and perform volunteer work for the children's charities referred to in section (a)
